As the national distribution partner for Weidmüller in Australia, APS Industrial are pleased to announce the release of a cost-effective, secure, and easy-to-use serial to Ethernet converter and Modbus gateway – the IE-CS-MBGW- 2TX-1COM.
The device offers a 1-port RS-232/422/485 to 2-port Ethernet device server with a Modbus protocol gateway allowing easy transfer of serial and Modbus data to Ethernet and vice versa.
Device configuration is performed through a secure web interface supporting HTTPS, SSH and SSL encryption to assure the security of data, coupled with an intuitive interface allowing for quick setup of its Modbus gateway mode.
It supports the operation modes of virtual com, serial tunnel, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, and a desktop-based utility allows for the configuration of multiple devices mapped to virtual com ports.
As standard, the device features a dual redundant power supply input from 12-48 VDC, a wide operating temperature of -40 to 70°C. It is cased in a rugged IP-30 metal housing making it ideal for operation in harsh and demanding industrial environments.
